Subsets (YC S23) is an early-stage startup building the future of AI-driven subscription growth. As a Lifecycle Engineer, you'll join the early team to work hands-on with our platform and our clients. You will be owning, driving, and expanding adoption of the product across a portfolio of customers while helping to define what great customer outcomes look like as we scale. What you will do - work hands-on within the Subsets platform to build, optimise, and iterate on lifecycle campaigns and subscriber journeys alongside our clients. - help shape the structure and playbook of the customer team model as one of the first Lifecycle Engineers at Subsets - this is a defining role in how we scale. - own and manage a portfolio of 5-10 enterprise customers, acting as the primary point of contact responsible for adoption, business outcomes, and satisfaction of the client. - develop a deep understanding of each client's business, proactively identifying opportunities to drive growth and addressing challenges before they arise. - partner closely with a solutions engineer, who will handle technical escalations and integrations, so you can stay focused on strategy and outcomes. - work in a lean, high-performing team where you will have a significant impact and assume high levels of responsibility. You may be a great fit if you have - (required) hands-on experience in CRM or customer/retention marketing - building journeys, campaigns, and lifecycle strategies inside a platform like Sailthru, Braze, Iterable, or other similar tools. - (required) experience being client-facing (e.g., agency or consulting), and ideally with managing relationships at multiple levels. - proficiency in email marketing and experience in additional marketing channels (app, on-site, paid social, etc.) is a plus. - worked with analysing campaign performance and have a basic understanding of running experiments and what good experimental design looks like. - experience with subscription businesses and words like ARPU and Lifetime Value is a plus. - a proactive, big-picture mindset. You're always thinking about where a client relationship is heading, not just the task in front of you. - a strong bias toward action and the ability to work autonomously in fast-paced, loosely defined environments. - you prefer a primarily in-office way of working and are energized by the pace and intensity of early-stage startups. Perks - competitive salary and equity. - company card for all things office food/snacks. - great breakfast and lunch (and dinner when working late in the office). - relocation support if you don't live in Copenhagen.
