About

We're seeking a full-time Staff Frontend Engineer with experience in Fintech or marketplaces to shape the direction of our front-end practice. You'll be at the center of our engineering organization — not only building user experiences yourself, but owning technical architecture across the team, mentoring senior engineers, and driving decisions that influence multiple teams as we deliver an ambitious roadmap of banking and SaaS products. Deep technical craft and domain mastery will be core to how you lead — architecting for scale, connecting fintech and healthcare domain knowledge to product strategy, and setting the standard for what good engineering looks like. (📍 Taipei-based Only) Your responsibilities will include: • Technical Depth & Quality • Own the technical direction and architecture for the entire team, extending beyond individual modules. • Drive technical decisions that influence multiple teams across the organization. • Defines the team's standard for "what good engineering looks like" (code quality, testing, monitoring, etc.). • Domain Mastery • Maintain a holistic domain view of the overall business, including fintech, healthcare, and claims. • Connects domain knowledge to technical and product strategy decisions (e.g., compliance trade-offs, product direction). • Scope & Ambiguity • Define strategic priorities and navigate high uncertainty to set the direction for the team. • Leads company-wide technical initiatives spanning roughly 6 months (e.g., a security roadmap). • Communication & Collaboration • Builds org-level consensus in highly ambiguous situations, even amid conflicting stakeholder interests. • Technical Influence • Influence extends to the company level—earned through expertise, not authority. • Mentors senior engineers, not just junior ones. • Sets technical standards that other teams adopt on their own initiative. You have: • Fluency in English • Able to have flexible working hours to collaborate with our NY office • Deep understanding of Fintech, specifically banking payments • Deep experience with and understanding of: • JavaScript (8+ years) • Node.js (5+ years) • React or Vue.js framework (8+ years) • APIs (5+ years) • Building fintech web applications (1+ years) • Front-end architecture (4+ years) • UX (2+ years) • UI (2+ years) • The ability to see challenges as opportunities to level up.
