Yet access to capital still depends on where you live, who you know, and which institutions are willing to trust you. Borrowers overpay. Lenders earn less than they should. Many are shut out entirely, not because they are unworthy of credit, but because today's infrastructure was never built to connect them. Role: Enable Morpho’s finance function to run flawlessly across fiat and crypto by owning day-to-day treasury, pre-accounting, and reporting so the team can make fast, confident decisions. Responsibilities: • Initiate and reconcile fiat and crypto payments using Pennylane, Cryptio, and internal tools to keep operations accurate and on time. • Track, collect, and organize invoices across vendors and teams to maintain complete, audit-ready records. • Update monthly pre-accounting in Pennylane and Cryptio to ensure books reflect reality and close on schedule. • Coordinate with external accountants on monthly, quarterly, and annual closes to deliver clean financial statements. • Refresh P&L and cash burn reports and simple forecasts to improve visibility for leaders and budget owners. • Monitor and rebalance cash and token positions across wallets and accounts to meet operational needs and risk guardrails. • Identify and implement process improvements in payments, tooling, and reporting to increase speed and reduce errors. What Success Looks Like: First 30 days • Onboard to Morpho’s tools, wallets, approval flows, and reporting cadence. • Run fiat payment cycles under supervision and prepare basic crypto transactions safely. • Produce a first pass of monthly tagging and invoice collection with minimal guidance. By Month 4–6 • Own end-to-end pre-accounting, payment execution, and monthly P&L and cash reporting. • Shorten close timelines and reduce reconciliation issues through clearer tagging and documentation. • Expand from fiat to crypto payments confidently, with consistent, compliant execution. By Month 12 • Be a trusted partner to Ops and Finance, proactively improving processes and data quality. • Consistently deliver on-time closes and reliable dashboards that inform decisions. • Handle complex cases, including token-related flows, with autonomy and excellent judgment. Competencies & Traits: • Adaptability and bias for action in a fast-changing, remote-first environment. • Ownership and autonomy with high standards for accuracy and follow-through. • Clear, concise async communication and documentation. • First-principles thinking and simplicity in processes and tooling. • Low ego, team-first mindset with transparency and shared credit. Must-have Experience: • 3+ years in finance operations, treasury, or pre-accounting in a fast-growing environment. • Hands-on with external accountants and monthly close routines. • Proficiency with finance tools such as Pennylane, Cryptio, Notion, and Excel. • Familiarity with crypto fundamentals; direct crypto or blockchain experience is a plus. • Meticulous, precise, and rigorous approach to record keeping and reconciliations.
